Coputer Operator

If you go to the third floor of B-60 in Hari Nagar, you will find where we work. New Delhi is a crowded place, and Hari Nagar has its own busy energy. Being on the third floor means a lot of walking up and down the stairs every day. We don’t have an elevator, so it keeps us moving. As a Coputer Operator, the work is mostly about staring at screens and hitting keys. It’s a small room with a few machines and a lot of wires. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out. It gets quite hot in the summer, but we have a small cooler that helps a little. We handle all sorts of typing and data work for people in the neighborhood. Some folks come in with handwritten notes that they need turned into proper documents. It’s not very exciting, but it’s what we do. The name on the door is just Coputer Operator, plain and simple. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. You just walk in and tell us what you need done. We’ve been in this New Delhi spot for a while now. The noise from the street below never really stops, but you stop hearing it after a few hours. We just focus on the task at hand until the sun goes down. Most days are just full of typing and checking for mistakes.
