Baskin Robbins

This Baskin Robbins shop is located right on North West Avenue Club Road in Punjabi Bagh. It’s a pretty standard spot, really. We spend most of our shift standing behind the counter waiting for the evening rush. In this part of Punjabi Bagh, it gets really busy after dinner time. Families come in after they eat out, and we end up scooping a lot of ice cream very fast. The freezers hum all day long, and we have to keep an eye on the temperature so nothing melts. It gets a bit cold standing near them for eight hours, to be honest. We keep the floor swept and try to wipe the sticky fingerprints off the glass whenever we get a quiet minute. Sometimes we run out of specific flavors because a big group comes in and everyone wants the same thing. We have the usual chairs and tables for people to sit down, though many just take their cones and walk outside. The lights are bright, and it feels like a very normal neighborhood shop. We know some of the regulars who live around the corner. They usually order the same thing every single time. Working here means getting used to the smell of waffle cones being made. It's not a complicated job, but it keeps us on our toes when the weather gets hot outside. We just keep the scoops clean and the flavors ready for whoever walks in next.
