Our shop is Arora Paneer & Milk Products and you can find us at C-39 in Patel Nagar West. We deal with fresh dairy every single day. The morning starts really early for us, usually before the sun is even up, because that’s when the milk trucks arrive. We make our own paneer right here in the back. It’s a lot of heavy lifting with the milk cans and keeping everything clean is the main job. People from the nearby blocks come in for their daily supply of curd or cream. We don't have a big corporate setup, just some refrigerators and a heavy counter. Sometimes we run out of stuff by the afternoon if there’s a festival or a big wedding nearby. The floor is usually a bit wet because we’re always washing the containers and the workspace. My brother helps me out with the billing when it gets crowded. We also keep some bread and eggs because people usually want those with their milk. It’s a straightforward business. We don't use any fancy packaging, just the regular bags and wraps. If you walk down the lane in Patel Nagar West, you’ll see our sign. We’ve been here for years and the neighbors know us well. It’s hard work, especially in the summers when we have to make sure the cooling is working perfectly so nothing spoils. It is a busy life but we enjoy being part of the neighborhood.
