Karthikeya Transport

Karthikeya Transport is based out of a small house, H. No. 3-7, in Ramchandrapur village. Being out here in the Mulug area means we are right in the middle of a lot of farm activity and local moving. We started with just a couple of vehicles and a lot of hope that we could keep them running long enough to make a living. Most of our time is spent coordinating with drivers over the phone or staring at the road waiting for a truck to return from a long haul. The office is really just a desk and a few chairs where we handle the logs and the diesel receipts. It is not a corporate setup at all. You will often find us outside checking the oil or helping load up sacks and crates when a driver is in a hurry. The weather out here in Ramchandrapur can be tough on the engines, so maintenance is a constant job that never really ends. We deal with all sorts of loads, from household items to agricultural supplies, and every day brings a different challenge. Sometimes the rain washes out the tracks or a truck gets a flat in the middle of nowhere, and we have to scramble to fix it. It is a stressful business sometimes, but we like being part of the local community. We just keep our heads down and keep the wheels moving as best as we can.
