Bhilavath Bhiksham

Out here in Nellikudur, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Bhilavath Bhiksham is run from our house, H. No. C68, in Badi Thanda. It is a quiet place in Yerrabelligudem and everyone around here knows each other. We do not have a big sign or a fancy building with glass doors. It is just a regular home where we handle our business. Most of the time, I am out in the village or talking to people who stop by the porch. The air is clean and you can hear the birds in the morning. We do not use computers for everything because sometimes a notebook and a pen are just easier. My family helps out when they can, especially when things get busy during the harvest season. Life is simple and we like it that way. We do not have a lot of rules, we just treat people fairly and hope they do the same. Sometimes people come by just to chat and have some water. It is not like those businesses in the town where everything is about speed. Here, we take our time to listen. We have lived in this village for a long time and our roots are deep in this soil. It is just a small way to make a living and support the house. We do not need much more than that.
