Flowers Land School

Flowers Land School is tucked away in Perukawada, over in the Ramannapet area of Warangal. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main market roads. We’ve been operating out of this location for some time now. The building isn't very large, so everyone kind of knows everyone else. You see the same kids growing up year after year. We don't have fancy computer labs with the latest everything, but we have what’s needed for the lessons. The walls are painted a simple color and we pin up the students' drawings to make it look a bit more lively. On hot days, the ceiling fans work overtime. We spend our mornings making sure the children are in their seats and the teachers have what they need for the day’s subjects. It’s a lot of small details, like making sure the drinking water is topped up and the toilets are clean. We don't go in for big speeches or polished presentations. We have a small garden area but it's hard to keep the plants alive in the heat. It’s just a neighborhood school where people bring their kids because it’s close by and they know who we are. The pace is steady. We open the gates in the morning and close them once the last student has headed home. It’s just our daily life here in Ramannapet, and we try to keep things moving as best as we can.
