Suvarna High School

Suvarna High School is located in Pedabogili, which is part of the Seethanagaram area in Vizianagaram. It’s a bit of a rural setting, so things are a little slower here than in the big cities. The school is at the end of a road and you can see a lot of trees and fields nearby. We have a main building that houses all the classrooms and a small office where we keep the records. The air is usually pretty fresh, though it gets quite warm in the afternoons. We don’t have much in the way of modern decor; the walls are mostly bare except for a few maps and the school calendar. Most of our day is spent making sure the kids are in their rooms and the teachers have what they need to get through the day. We have a small bell that we ring manually to mark the periods. Sometimes the cows from the nearby farms wander a bit too close to the entrance, which gives us something to talk about. The staff room is just a few chairs around a desk where we eat our lunch and talk about local news. It’s a very simple life here in Seethanagaram. We aren’t trying to be anything fancy, just a local school doing the basic work of teaching. When the final bell rings, the building empties out fast and we are left with the quiet of the countryside.
