G H S School

G H S School is situated in Jogampeta, which is part of the Seethanagaram area in Vizianagaram. The address is 535546 for anyone trying to find us. It’s a rural location, so it's a lot quieter than the schools in the main town. Most of our students come from Parvathipurm or the little settlements nearby. The school building is a basic structure with a few rooms. We have a small courtyard where we do the morning assembly. It’s not a very big space. The surroundings are mostly fields and trees, so the air is a bit fresher here. We don't have a lot of modern equipment. We use traditional chalkboards and the students sit on long benches. Sometimes the goats from the nearby farms wander close to the fence. The teachers handle everything themselves, from the lessons to the basic maintenance of the rooms. If a window latch breaks, someone eventually gets around to fixing it. We don't have a big budget for fancy things. The focus is just on the basic subjects. The kids are good, mostly coming from families that work the land. They walk quite a distance to get here every day. We try to make sure they have a decent place to learn. It’s a humble school, nothing more. Life moves slowly in Jogampeta. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the children are in their seats and learning their lessons.
