Froebels High School & Junior College

Our school and college sit at Plot No 223 on Dharmapuri Road. It’s a central spot in Vizianagaram, so we get a lot of students from different parts of town. The building has been around for a long time and you can tell by looking at the walls. We have the high school kids in one section and the junior college students in another. It’s a bit crowded, especially during the lunch hour. The noise level can get pretty high when everyone is out in the corridors. Dharmapuri Road is always full of vehicles, so we spend a lot of time telling the kids to watch out when they cross. We don't have any massive sports fields, just some open space where they stand for the morning bell. The classrooms have old wooden desks that have been scratched up over the years. We try to keep the place tidy, but with hundreds of students, it’s a constant battle against dust and stray papers. The teachers are mostly local people who have been with us for a long time. They know the families around here. It’s not a fancy private institution with air conditioning. We rely on the ceiling fans and the breeze when we can get it. The junior college students are usually stressed about their exams. You see them huddled in corners with their notes. It’s just a normal, busy school environment with nothing special to boast about.
