Windys Restaurant

Windys Restaurant is right on the Beach Road in Visakhapatnam. We are situated near the Ambica Sea Green, which is a well-known spot around here. Being so close to the ocean means we always have a breeze, but it also means the salt air ruins everything if we don't keep up with fixing things. We are constantly wiping down the tables and cleaning the windows because of the sea spray. It’s a casual restaurant, nothing fancy at all. We get a lot of people who come in right from the beach with sand on their feet. We don't mind, we just sweep it up later in the day. The kitchen stays busy with the usual orders. We aren't a big chain, just a local spot where the staff knows most of the people who walk through the door. The humidity in Vizag can be really tough, so we just do our best to keep the place comfortable for everyone. We don't have any corporate goals or polished slogans. We just open up in the morning, cook the food, and close up at night. Sometimes when it’s quiet, we just sit by the door and watch the waves for a few minutes before the dinner rush starts. It’s a lot of hard work in the heat, but it is what we do. We’ve been at this Beach Road location for a long time and we’re just part of the scenery now, just another place by the sea.
