V Kids

V Kids is my little project on Bank Street in Murali Nagar. We are at 17-269-270, right beside the State Bank of India. It’s a lively spot in Visakhapatnam, especially with all the people coming and going from the bank. I started this because I wanted a space for the younger ones in our neighborhood to get a head start. The rooms are painted in bright colors, though some of the paint is starting to chip near the floor where the kids play. It’s not a perfect, shiny school; it’s more like a second home. There are toys scattered around and little drawings pinned to the walls. Sometimes it gets really loud with children laughing or crying, but that’s just a normal day for us. I spend my time making sure everything is safe and that we have enough supplies for whatever activity we’re doing. The staff are all local women from around Murali Nagar who know the families here. We don't have a big corporate board or anything like that. It’s just us trying to keep the kids busy and learning a few things along the way. The street outside can get quite busy with cars, but inside we have our own little world. It’s a bit chaotic at times, but it’s real. We don't use any fancy teaching methods from books, just a lot of patience and some basic lessons that every kid needs.
