Tandoori House

Tandoori House is located in Pedawaltair, right on the main road here in Visakhapatnam. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The area is always moving, and being on the main road means we get a lot of people just passing through. Our shop isn't very large, but we’ve tucked enough benches in there for people to sit. The kitchen is where most of the action happens. We spend hours every morning just getting the spices ground and the meat ready. It's hard on the hands and the back, but that’s the work. We aren't a big chain or anything; it's just a local place run by local people. We don't have any fancy mission statements. We just show up, light the tandoor, and wait for the first customer to walk in. Sometimes the coastal weather makes the wood for the fire a bit damp, which is a pain, but we manage to get it going. Vizag is a nice place to live, and we like being part of the Pedawaltair neighborhood. We see the same college kids and office workers every day. It’s a simple routine. We don't spend money on advertising; we just hope that if someone eats here, they might come back next week. It’s honest work and it keeps the lights on. Sometimes we get tired of the heat, but when the shop is full, it feels worth the effort.
