Sreekaar Architects & Interiors

Our place is in Madhavadara, not far from the Pollution Control Board office here in Visakhapatnam. It’s a bit of a quieter area compared to the center of the city, which we like because it’s easier to focus on the drawing work. We do a mix of architecture and interior stuff, so the office is always full of different things. One corner might have tile samples and the other might have large rolls of site plans. We started Sreekaar because we wanted to work for ourselves in our own neighborhood. The hill views around here are quite nice when you step outside for a break. Inside, the walls are mostly covered in sketches and notes we’ve pinned up so we don’t forget small details. It isn't a place that looks like a magazine cover. There are usually some crumbs on the table from lunch and the printer makes a loud clicking noise every time we use it. We just sit here and work through the projects one by one. People from around the area stop by to ask about their renovations or new builds. We don't use any fancy talk, we just tell them what can be done and what can't. It’s a practical way to run things, and it keeps our lives simple. We keep the doors open during the day and usually head home once the streetlights come on in the evening.
