New Mayura Restaurant

Our place is right on the Main Road in Railway New Colony. If you look across from Srikanya Theatre, you will see us there at 43-9-200/4. Visakhapatnam gets really humid so we are always dealing with that, it's a lot of sweating in the kitchen. The street is usually crowded because of the theatre and people coming from the railway station nearby. It’s a lot of walking for the staff throughout the day. We’ve had this spot for a bit and it feels like home now. The morning shift starts with tea and getting the tables wiped down before the first customers show up. Sometimes the supplies arrive late and we have to scramble a bit in the back. It isn't always perfect but we manage to get by. The regulars who live around Railway New Colony come in and we know what they usually want to eat. It's a simple setup we have here. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just focus on the cooking and the cleaning. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud but they keep the air moving when it's hot. Being opposite Srikanya Theatre means we get a lot of people after the movies let out in the evening. It gets hectic then and we all have to work double time to keep up. It’s a busy life running a restaurant on this road but it keeps us on our feet. We just do our thing and hope everyone leaves full.
