Mr & Mrs Masala

Mr & Mrs Masala is actually located inside the Apple Hotel building on GVMC Road. We are right in the Asilmetta area of Visakhapatnam, sitting directly opposite the RTC Complex. If you have ever been to that part of town, you know the traffic is almost never quiet. There are always buses and rickshaws honking right outside our door. It is a busy spot for sure. We handle the food side of things here, mostly focusing on the spices and the daily meals for people passing through. The kitchen gets pretty hot, especially in the middle of the day, but we are used to the heat by now. Since we are in the 530003 zip code, right in the heart of the city, we get a mix of hotel guests and people waiting for their bus at the complex across the road. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the chairs are just the standard plastic ones. It isn’t the kind of place you come for a fancy night out, but it works for a quick lunch. We spend a lot of time preping the masala mixes in the back room. The smell of ground pepper and turmeric usually hangs in the air all day long. It's just a regular job for us, keeping the pots full and the customers fed before they head off to their next stop.
