Gopala Krishna Jonnalagadda has been running things out of this spot in Visakhapatnam for a good number of years. Being located near the Visakhapatnam H O in the 530001 zip code means there is always a lot of noise from the traffic outside. You can hear the scooters and the buses going by all day long while we sit at our desks. The office is simple and stays pretty cluttered with files and stacks of paper that we need to sort through. Krishna is usually the first one in, opening up the shutters and making sure the place is ready for whatever the day brings. We do not have a big staff, just a few of us who have lived in Vizag our whole lives. We know the shortcuts through the streets and where to get the best tea during our afternoon break. The walls are covered in some old calendars and a few photos from when we first opened up the shop. It feels more like a home than a workplace sometimes because we have been here so long. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything, preferring to write things down in big ledgers when we can. It’s just a practical way of doing things that has worked for us. We stay busy enough without needing to shout about what we do to everyone passing by on the road.
