We are located right by the Old Post Office. It’s a landmark everyone around here knows, so it makes finding us a bit easier. Most of our work involves fixing things and dealing with systems that have decided to stop working. We have a small space where we keep all our tools and the parts we’ve collected over time. It can look a bit messy with wires and opened-up casings on the benches, but we know where everything is. People bring in their devices and we take a look to see what can be done. Some days it’s just small repairs that take twenty minutes, and other days we’re scratching our heads over a problem for hours. We don’t have a big front desk or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is free just looks up and talks to whoever walked in. It’s a casual environment. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The Old Post Office area is usually quite busy, so there’s always something going on outside our door. We’ve been at this for a while and have seen technology change quite a bit, but the basic problems usually stay the same. We just try to get things working again so people can get back to their lives. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do and we’re used to the routine of it. We stay open until the last job is done for the day and the light goes out.
