Family Point Rajasthani Dhaba

We’re right there in the Sri Satya Surya Complex in Dwaraka Nagar. It’s a ground floor spot, which is lucky because the heat in Visakhapatnam makes climbing stairs a real chore for most people. We focus on Rajasthani food, which is a bit different for this part of the country, but people seem to appreciate it. The complex is always busy with shoppers and folks heading to work, so there's a lot of noise coming in from the street. We keep the doors open mostly, and the fans are always on high. It’s a family-run thing, so you’ll usually see me or my brother sitting by the till. The kitchen is tucked away in the back, and it gets pretty cramped when we have three people working in there at once. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that. The chairs are just basic wood and the tables are covered with simple cloths. Sometimes we run out of specific spices and have to wait for a shipment from up north, which is a bit of a hassle. Dealing with the local vegetable markets every morning takes up a lot of our time too. It's a lot of mundane work, like cleaning the floors after the lunch rush and making sure the water jars are full. We’ve been here for a while now and we just take each day as it comes, really. We don't worry about much else.
