Dakshin Parcels & Restaurant

The cellar here at Vuda Complex stays a bit cooler than the street outside, which is nice during the Vizag summers. Dakshin Parcels & Restaurant has been in this spot for some time now, right across from where the Ceat Tyres shop is in Siripuram. You have to walk down the steps to find us. It isn't a huge place, just a simple dining area and the counter where we handle all the parcel orders. Most of our morning is spent chopping vegetables and getting the rice started before the lunch crowd shows up. We see a lot of the same faces every day, mostly people working in the nearby offices or guys from the tyre shop coming over for a quick bite. The kitchen gets pretty hot once all the burners are going, and the staff is usually busy packing containers for the takeaway orders. We don't really have any fancy decor or anything like that. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint eventually, but for now, we just keep things clean and functional. It gets quite noisy during the peak hours with the sound of plates and people talking, but it quietens down in the late afternoon. Sometimes the delivery bikes struggle with parking on the main road, but we manage somehow. It is just a regular local business where we show up, do the work, and go home. Nothing too complicated about it.
