Sri Siksha Kendra International School

Our school, Sri Siksha Kendra International School, is situated on the Tiruvannamalai Main Road here in Tirukkoyilur. It’s a fairly large place right in the Villupuram district. Being on the main road means it’s easy for the buses to get in and out every day without getting stuck in small side streets. We’ve got students coming from all over the nearby villages to attend classes. The building is solid and we have enough rooms for all the different grades we teach. It’s not a fancy place with modern art on the walls, just a school where we try to get the teaching done right. We have a playground out back where the kids play football or just sit under the trees when the sun is high in the sky. The teachers spend their time at the blackboards and checking through stacks of notebooks every afternoon. We get a lot of breeze sometimes because of the open space around our property. We don't spend much on flashy decorations or expensive brochures. Instead, we just make sure the benches are in good shape and the books are available for whoever needs them. People in Tirukkoyilur know us well enough by now. We see the same faces every morning at the gate. Sometimes the traffic on the main road gets a bit loud, but once you’re inside the classrooms, it’s mostly just the sound of kids talking. We just go about our business day by day, making sure the schedule is followed.
