Krishnaveni Ammal B.Ed College

The college is out in Thoombur, which is in the Asokapuri area of Villupuram. It’s a B.Ed college, so we deal with people who want to become teachers. The location is fairly quiet, which is good for studying. We have a decent-sized building with several classrooms and a hall for meetings. Since it’s 605602, it’s a bit away from the main city buzz, so it’s mostly peaceful. You can hear the birds and the occasional tractor passing by. We have a lot of students who travel in from different parts of Villupuram district. They usually arrive in the morning and stay until the afternoon sessions are over. The office is where most of the coordination happens. It’s often cluttered with registers and lesson plan books. We don’t go for anything flashy here. It’s about getting the training done. The rooms are basic but they have what’s needed for a teacher training environment. We have some trees around the perimeter that provide a bit of shade during the hotter months. It feels quite rural and grounded. Most of the staff has been here for a long time, so we all know each other’s schedules. We don’t have a big corporate feel at all. It’s more like a small group of people working together in a quiet corner of the state. Everyone just does their part to keep the college running smoothly throughout the academic year.
