If you walk down North Street in Villupuram, you will find us at number 26. It is a simple building, nothing too flashy, which suits us just fine. We have been operating here for a while, seeing different groups of children grow up and move on. The classrooms are basic, filled with wooden benches and blackboards that have seen a lot of chalk over the years. We don't have big corporate offices or anything like that. Usually, you will find one of us sitting near the entrance handling the paperwork while the teachers are busy in the back. The street can get a bit dusty, and sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, but we just open the windows and keep teaching. It is a practical place. We don't spend much on decorations because we would rather make sure the roof doesn't leak during the rains. The parents around here are hardworking people, and we try to match that energy. It’s a local spot where everyone knows each other’s names. Sometimes things are a bit messy, and there is always a pile of notebooks waiting to be corrected. We just take it one day at a time here in Villupuram. There isn't a lot of mystery to what we do. We just teach the kids and hope they do well. It’s a plain school on a plain street, doing what we can for the students. We’re just here.
