Valli Ammal Metric Hgh School

Our school, Valli Ammal Metric Hgh School, sits right on the Chennai Main Road here in Thiyagadurgam. It’s a busy spot because of the main road, so there is always movement outside our gates. We have been in this part of Villupuram for a good while. The building looks like a typical school with its long hallways and rows of classrooms. We deal with high school students mostly, so things can get pretty loud during the lunch hour or when the bell rings at the end of the day. It is a practical place. We don’t have much in the way of fancy decorations or high-tech gear. We mostly focus on getting through the books and making sure the students are where they need to be on time. The local weather in Tiyagadrug can get quite hot in the summer, so we try to keep the rooms as airy as possible with the fans we have. Sometimes the paint peels a bit on the outer walls but we try to keep up with the maintenance when we have the time and the extra funds. People in the area know us as the school by the main road. It’s easy to find. We have our regulars among the local shopkeepers who see our students every day. We aren't trying to be the biggest school around, just a place where the kids from this part of the district can come to study. It’s a straightforward job.
