Santha Clara Convent School

Santha Clara Convent School is located at No 91/1 on Kodathur Road in the Santa Clara area of Tirukannur. Since we are in Pondicherry, the vibe is a bit different than in other states, but it is still a very local operation. The school is easy to find if you are heading down Kodathur Road. It is a convent school, so there is a certain way we do things, following the routine that has been set for a long time. The building is painted in a way that makes it stand out a bit from the surrounding houses. We have a lot of kids coming in from Tirukannur and the nearby villages. In the mornings, the road gets quite crowded with parents dropping off their children before they head to their own jobs. The school day is structured around the ringing of the bell, which tells everyone when to move, when to eat, and when to go home. We have a few trees on the property that provide a little bit of shade, which is nice when the sun is out in full force. The teachers spend their time at the front of the room with chalk and talk, making sure the students are actually writing things down in their notebooks. It is a practical place where the focus is on the daily lessons. We don't have any big marketing budgets or fancy brochures; people usually just hear about us from their neighbors or relatives who already send their kids here.
