St Thomas English Medium School

We are located right on the Main Road in Chitti Nagar. It's a very easy spot to find if you are in this part of Vijayawada. The school has been part of the community for quite some time now. Being on the main road means it gets a bit dusty and noisy with all the buses and cars going past, but we are used to it. The gate stays shut during the day to keep the kids safe inside. We have several classrooms and a small area where the kids play during their breaks. It is an English medium school, so the teachers try their best to keep the kids speaking English while they are in class. It’s not always easy, but we keep at it. The building is painted a plain color and we try to keep the walls clean, though kids always find a way to make a mess. We have parents coming in and out to talk about grades or fees quite often. It’s just a standard local school. We don't have fancy computers or a big swimming pool like some places in the city, but we have books and teachers who care about the kids. Most of our students live within walking distance, so the morning commute is just a bunch of kids in uniforms walking down the street together. It’s a simple life here and we just focus on the lessons.
