Hs Granites

The Khanapuram Industrial Area is where you will find us. It’s a dry, dusty part of Khammam, but it’s where all the heavy work happens. Hs Granites has been operating out of this spot for a good while. We have a lot of space here, which is necessary when you are dealing with large blocks of stone. The noise of the machinery is constant during the day. We get used to it, though. We spend our hours checking the granite coming in and making sure it’s cut properly. The heat in Khammam can be really something, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the stone. We drink a lot of tea and just keep moving. It’s not a glamorous job. We deal with heavy lifting and precise cutting every single day. Most of our visitors are contractors or people building their first homes nearby. They come in looking for something sturdy. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning; it is just the workshop and the storage area. You see the raw material right there. We show people the different grains and patterns in the rock. Sometimes a slab has a natural vein that looks interesting, and we point that out. It is just a regular business in an industrial zone, doing what we know how to do. We focus on the work and getting the orders ready for the trucks to take away.
