Our place, Fujian Shixing Stone India Pvt Ltd, is tucked away in the Kondapuram villages part of Khammam Rural. Specifically, we are at 5-842. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren’t from around the village, but we like the space we have. There is a lot of heavy lifting involved with the stone blocks we handle. The yard is usually full of slabs and the sound of the cutters running. It can get quite hot out here in Khammam, so we take our breaks in the shade when we can. We started this branch to be closer to where the materials are. It’s a bit of a mix of people working here, some local and some from further out. We don't have a lot of polished furniture in the office because the dust gets into everything anyway. We just focus on the stone. It’s heavy, dirty work but it’s what we know how to do. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is out in the rural areas. We try to keep the trucks moving in and out without too much fuss. There isn't any fancy marketing here, just piles of stone and people working hard to get the orders ready. You can find us easily enough once you get into Kondapuram and follow the road down to the village area.
