D. S. N. School

Our school is tucked away at 61-14-28/2 in Ramalingeswara Nagar, which is part of the Krishna Lanka neighborhood. It’s a local school that serves the families nearby. Most of the kids walk here from their homes in the surrounding streets. We’ve been a fixture in this part of Vijayawada for quite a few years now. The building is a simple structure that we’ve tried to maintain as best as we can over time. It’s not the biggest school in the world, but we have enough room for our classrooms and a small area for the children to gather. A typical day starts with the sound of kids chatting and the teachers getting their materials ready for the first lesson. We don't use any fancy teaching gadgets, just the basics like chalkboards and textbooks. The staff here are your typical neighbors who happen to be educators. We deal with all the normal things schools do, like making sure everyone has their uniform on right and keeping track of who is absent. In the afternoons, the street outside gets busy again as everyone heads home for the day. It’s a modest place with a lot of history in the local community. We just keep our heads down and focus on the daily tasks of running a school in a busy city like this. It’s honest work and we are happy to be here doing it.
