Vinayaga Steels

Out here on Mbt Road in Ranipet, things stay pretty busy. We are at number 122, right where the traffic starts to pick up in the mornings. Being in the steel business means there is always a lot of heavy lifting and the sound of metal hitting metal. It isn’t a quiet place to work. We spend our days surrounded by stacks of steel and iron. The sun hits the road hard in Ranipet, so it gets hot in the shop. We keep the fans running, but they mostly just move the warm air around. People stop by all the time asking for different sizes or weights. We don't really do the whole corporate office thing. It’s mostly just a counter, some ledgers, and the yard out back. Most of us have been working with steel for years, so we know the weight of things just by looking. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit of a mess, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get the orders right and keep things moving along the road. The street outside is full of tea stalls and other shops, so there is always someone to talk to when we take a break. It's just a regular life of handling steel and talking to drivers. We’ve stayed in the same spot for years because it works for us and the people who need what we have.
