Sri Thiyagaraja Bell Metal Works

We are over here at 3/104 Kammalar Street in Vishnupuram. It’s a place where we deal with bell metal every day. The street is usually full of the sounds of work. People know us as Sri Thiyagaraja Bell Metal Works. We don’t have a fancy office or anything like that. It’s mostly just us working with the metal, getting our hands dirty, and making sure the items are done right. Some days it’s very hot near the furnace, but that’s just how this kind of work goes. We’ve been in this spot for a long time now. You can find us easily if you just walk down the street. It’s a local place. We don’t really do big advertisements. Most people just walk in or hear about us from someone else in the neighborhood. We handle the metal casting and the polishing right here. It’s noisy and there is dust sometimes, but we like the work. It’s what we know how to do. The bells and other metal pieces take time. You can’t rush it. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work, especially when it rains, but we keep the shop open as much as we can. If you are around Vishnupuram, you will see the sign. We just try to get the orders finished on time and keep things moving. There’s always something to be hammered or melted down. That’s life at the workshop.
