Palanivel Metal Store

The store is on Beri Subramania Koil Street in Vellore, right by the Droni Store. We have been here for a good number of years now. It is a simple place with a lot of metal goods stacked up from the floor to the ceiling. You can find stainless steel pots, brass items for the house, and plenty of aluminum vessels for cooking. The shelves are narrow and sometimes it is hard to walk through the aisles when we get a new shipment in. We spend most of our mornings unpacking crates and putting things away. The street outside is usually busy with people going to the temple or the other shops nearby. It gets quite hot in the afternoon, so we have a few old fans running to keep the air moving. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. Customers come in looking for specific sizes of pans or maybe a new water container. We try to keep a variety of sizes even if the shop feels a bit cluttered. The floor is concrete and shows its age, but it works for what we do. We open up early and close once the sun goes down and the street gets quiet. It is just a regular local business where we handle the day-to-day sales ourselves without any fuss.
