Aruna Blue Metals

Aruna Blue Metals is located on the Eb Nagar Main Road in Arni, specifically in the Rattinamangalam area. This is the place where we handle a lot of crushed stone and aggregates. If you drive down the main road, you can't miss the piles of blue metal. It’s a rough and tumble kind of business. The sun gets really hot out here on the road, and there isn't much shade. We spend our time managing the heaps of stone and making sure the conveyor belts are running like they should. The sound of stone hitting metal is something you get used to after a few days. We have drivers coming in from all over the region to load up their lorries. It gets very dusty, so we usually have a cloth over our faces. We don't have a corporate structure; it’s just a group of us making sure the supply stays steady. There is a small shed where we take our breaks and keep the logbooks. We drink a lot of water and try to stay out of the direct sun when we can. The business is vital for the local roads and buildings being put up around Arni. We’ve been part of this community for a while, and the neighbors know us by the constant activity at the yard. It is honest, hard work that keeps the local construction moving forward.
