Sun Bright School

Sun Bright School is located right on Mental Hospital Road in the Pandeypur area of Varanasi. It’s a place where the traffic never really seems to stop, and there is always a bit of dust in the air. We’ve been operating out of this spot for years. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a regular structure with classrooms and a small area for the kids. Every morning, the street gets crowded with rickshaws and parents on scooters. You can hear the school bell from quite a distance away. Inside, the walls have some old posters and the floors are swept every single morning, though they don't stay clean for long with all the kids running around. We keep things pretty simple. There are no high-tech gadgets or fancy lounges. Just teachers, students, and books. Sometimes the monkeys from the trees nearby come and sit on the roof, which makes the children laugh. The staff sits in a small room near the entrance where we keep all the registers. It’s a very local feel here. Everyone knows everyone else in the neighborhood. We deal with the power cuts and the noise just like everyone else in Varanasi. It’s just a school trying to do its part in a busy part of town. We are here every day, rain or shine, making sure the lessons get done as best as we can manage.
