Sri Ram Academy

Sri Ram Academy is located on Sagra Road in the Ram Nagar area of Varanasi. It is a part of town that feels a bit more relaxed than the main city center. We are at 3/539/1, and it is a spot we have called home for some time now. The road outside can get a bit muddy when it rains, but that is just how things are here. We have a small courtyard where students gather in the mornings for assembly. It is a simple setup. We have a few rows of classrooms and an office where we keep all the files and books. Most of our staff live just a few streets away, so we feel like a real part of Ram Nagar. We don't use any complicated teaching methods. We just sit down with the kids and go through the lessons in the books. Some days are better than others, especially when the weather is nice and we can open all the windows. We have to deal with the usual school problems, like leaky pipes or a broken window now and then. But we just fix it and move on. People know us in Varanasi as a place that doesn't put on airs. We are just here to teach and to make sure the kids have a place to learn. It is honest work, and it keeps us busy from morning until late afternoon every day.
