Sonnet Academy

You can find Sonnet Academy over at D-53/13 in the Luxa area of Varanasi. It is a very old part of the city, so the streets can be a bit narrow and crowded, but that’s just part of the charm of living and working here. We’ve been operating out of this building for quite some time now. It’s a modest place, really. We just have our classrooms set up with the basic things you need for studying. There is no air conditioning or fancy lighting, just regular tube lights and some big windows to let the air in. We find that the students don’t mind the simple surroundings as long as they are getting the help they need. In Varanasi, things move at their own pace, and we are the same way. We don’t rush through everything just to say we finished. We take it day by day. You’ll often see us standing outside the door talking to parents after the evening classes are done. It is very much a local operation. We know the shopkeepers nearby and the people who live in the apartments upstairs. It feels more like a community than a business sometimes. We don’t use any complicated systems to track things, we just keep a notebook and focus on the teaching. It’s worked for us so far, and we don't see any reason to change how we do things in Luxa.
