Sanjay Memorial Women'S College

We’ve been here in Kerakatpur for a long while now. The college is tucked away in Lohta, which is a bit of a drive from the main parts of Varanasi, but people eventually find their way to us. It is mostly just quiet days and students heading off to their classes. We have the usual classrooms and a bit of space for the girls to study between their sessions. Honestly, things get quite busy during the exam season, and the hallways are constantly full of chatter, but that is just how a school is. We did not start this place to be anything fancy or high-end. It was really just about having somewhere local for women in this specific part of town to go to school without having to travel too far into the heavy city traffic every day. You can see the 221107 area code on the mail we get, and we are right there in the middle of it. The building is simple and doesn't stand out much. We try to keep things running okay, even when the power goes out or it gets really hot in the peak of summer. Most of the staff members know the students by their names because we aren't a giant university. It feels a bit smaller and more personal. We just get on with the teaching every single day. If you walk by, you will see us. It is a plain place, nothing too special to look at, but it works fine for what we need.
