Pt Awadhesh Narayan Inter College

Pt Awadhesh Narayan Inter College is a local school in Jairampur, Varanasi. We have been serving this community for many years. It is an intermediate college, so we have students in their final years of schooling. The building is a traditional one, much like other schools in this part of Uttar Pradesh. We don't have air-conditioned classrooms or high-tech gadgets everywhere. It’s mostly just the old-fashioned way of learning with books and notebooks. The teachers are mostly people who have lived in Varanasi their whole lives. We have a playground where the boys and girls play during the breaks. It gets quite busy in the mornings when all the students arrive on their cycles or on foot. Jairampur is a place where everyone knows each other, so the school is a big part of that. We follow the state board curriculum and try to get through the syllabus on time. Sometimes the fans don't work in the heat, but we manage. It’s a place with a lot of history and many families have sent their children here for generations. We don't try to be something we aren't. We are just a local college doing our best for the kids in Jairampur. The exams are the main focus for us every year. We try to keep the atmosphere calm even when the board results are coming out and everyone is nervous about their scores.
