New Horizons

New Horizons is located over at Rama Pura, specifically D-47/4A-1 on Follow Road. If you know where Saraswati Cinema is, we’re right opposite that. It’s a handy landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. The building is a bit older, like many in this part of Varanasi. We have been here for some time now. The street outside can get pretty cramped with rickshaws and bikes, especially in the evenings when the movie crowd is out. Inside, we have set up a few rooms for the students. It isn't anything like those big corporate offices you see in the city center. We keep things pretty basic. There's a small area where people can wait, and the rooms have enough light. The windows look out onto the street, so you can hear the city moving all day. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait for the generator or just sit by the window. It’s just how things are here. We don't spend much on decorations. A few calendars on the walls and some stacks of paper on the desks. It’s a place where work gets done without a lot of fuss. Most people who come by are local residents or students who live in the nearby colonies. We open up on time and close when the last session is over. It’s a steady routine that hasn't changed much over the years. We like the neighborhood and the people.
