Kuts & Make

We are over at Kabir Road in Varanasi, specifically inside the Nagari Natak Mandali building. Being in a place like that is a bit different because of all the history and the theater stuff happening nearby. The address is C-22/29. It is a busy road, and we get all sorts of people walking by. Our shop, Kuts & Make, is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s a small space, filled with the smell of hair products and the sound of scissors clipping away. We have some shelves where we keep the shampoos and the powders we use. The floor is tile, which makes it easier to sweep up after a long day of work. Varanasi is a place that never really sleeps, and Kabir Road is no exception. There is always a lot of dust from the street, so we have to wipe the mirrors down multiple times a day. We have a few chairs for people to sit on while they are waiting for their turn. Most of the people who come here are locals who live within walking distance. They don't expect anything fancy, just a place to get their hair done. We don't have a website or any of that. We just have our door open from morning until late evening. It is just a practical shop for practical people, and that is how we have always kept it for years.
