Our place is in Chetganj, right near the crossing. If you are looking for Apna Hotel, we are just opposite that. It is a bit of a crowded area with all the traffic and people moving around. We mostly deal with beauty and health things for women. The shop has been here at C-4/335 for some time. We open up in the morning and stay until evening. It is not a very big place but we have enough room for a few people at once. We spend the day doing facials or maybe helping someone with their skin. People in Varanasi know how dusty it gets outside so they come in to clean up. We don't have a lot of helpers, just a couple of us doing the work. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power is acting up but we manage. It’s just a standard local parlor. We see mothers and daughters coming in together. The neighborhood is busy so there is always someone walking in to ask about prices or wait for a turn. We try to keep things organized. It is just a regular business in a busy part of town. No big posters or anything, just the sign outside. We focus on the work at hand. Most of our regulars live nearby in the narrow lanes of Chetganj. It feels like a small community here. We just keep it simple and carry on with our daily tasks.
