Heritage Medical College

We are located in Anand Nagar Colony in Varanasi. It is a bit away from the main ghats and the heavy tourist areas, which makes it a bit better for a medical college where people need to focus. The colony is a mix of houses and some other offices, so it feels like a regular neighborhood. Our building is quite large because we need space for the labs and the teaching areas. You will often see people in lab coats walking around the colony or heading to the nearby shops for a quick snack. Varanasi is a very old and crowded city, but our corner in Anand Nagar is a bit more organized. The college has a very practical feel to it. There are skeletons in some rooms and rows of microscopes in others. It is not a place for lounging around. Most of the people here are either studying hard or working on their clinical skills. The walls are mostly plain, and the floors are that hard stone that is easy to clean. We have a small library that is usually full of students hunched over massive textbooks. It is a serious environment, but people are friendly enough once you get to know them. We just go about our business of training future doctors without a lot of grand talk or fancy events.
