Fair Look Beauty Parlour

We are situated on Lahartara Road in the Mandaudih area of Varanasi. Our shop is right opposite the Diesel Power House, which makes us very easy to find for anyone in this part of the city. It is a bit of an industrial area with the power house and the railway station nearby. I started Fair Look Beauty Parlour to provide a place for women in the neighborhood to get their beauty work done. We do everything from simple haircuts to more complicated bridal packages. The shop is a plain room with the necessary chairs and equipment. I don't go for anything too flashy. I think people appreciate a place that is straightforward and honest. The traffic on Lahartara Road can be quite heavy, especially during the shift changes at the power house. I usually have a few regulars who come in every month for their routine threading or facials. We drink tea and catch up on the local gossip while I work. It is a small community here and everyone knows everyone else. I keep the prices reasonable because I know people work hard for their money. Sometimes we have power cuts, which is funny since we are right across from the power house, but we just use candles and keep going. It is a simple life and I am happy to be running my own little parlour in Mandaudih. I hope to stay here for many more years and see more faces.
