Anurag Hair Style is located right in Kamalpur Up, specifically on Bhadohi Road in the Dindaspur area of Varanasi 221405. We are not too far from the Jansa Chauraha, which stays pretty crowded with traffic and people moving about. The shop itself is a modest space, just a single room where I keep my combs and various scissors lined up on the shelf under the main mirror. Varanasi can be very humid, so the fan is almost always running at full speed to keep the air moving for whoever is sitting in the chair. I started this place because I knew the local guys needed a spot near the chauraha where they could get a quick shave or a haircut on their way home. There is always a lot of noise from the road outside, motorcycles honking and people shouting, but inside the shop, it feels a bit more relaxed. I have an old wooden chair for people to wait their turn, and there is usually a newspaper lying around that is a few days old. I do not have a fancy sign or anything, just the name painted above the door. Most of the people who come here are workers from around Dindaspur or students from the nearby areas. It is honest work and I enjoy the daily rhythm of the street and the people I meet every day.
