Valsad Industries Directory

Our office is located in Tirupati Tower, right at the GIDC Char Rasta. If you are familiar with the Vapi-Silvassa Road, you have probably passed our building a hundred times. We run the industries directory from here. It is mostly a lot of data entry and talking to business owners across the region. We try to keep track of who is doing what in the GIDC and surrounding areas. The office is often full of stacks of old directories and notebooks. We have a couple of computers that have seen better days, but they still work for what we need. It is a lot of work keeping everything updated because businesses in Vapi change so fast. Someone closes down, someone else opens up a new shed, and we have to record it all. It is a bit of a grind, but it is useful for the local community. The area around Char Rasta is always humming with trucks and people going to work in the factories. It gets very dusty in the dry season and quite muddy when it rains. We are usually here from nine to six, just typing away and making calls. It isn't a fancy setup, just a practical space where we can focus on the lists. We know almost every corner of this industrial belt by now. It is a lot of names and numbers to remember.
