Our office is tucked away on the second floor of Girnar Khushboo Plaza, specifically in Shop No-12. Being located in the Gidc area of Vapi means we are right in the middle of all the industrial action. Perstorp Chemicals India Pvt. Ltd. is the name we use, but inside it’s just a regular workspace with a few desks and a lot of filing cabinets. The plaza itself is a busy spot, and you can always hear the sound of motorbikes and trucks coming from the street below. Vapi is known for its heat and humidity, so we really appreciate the ceiling fans running all day long. Sometimes the lift in the building doesn't work, so we end up walking the stairs, which is fine until you’re carrying a heavy box of documents. We spend most of our time coordinating with different suppliers and checking on chemical orders. It’s a lot of phone calls and emails to keep everything moving. The shop isn't very large, so we all work pretty close together. Lunchtime usually involves someone bringing in food or grabbing something quick from one of the stalls downstairs. There’s a certain smell to the air in Vapi because of all the factories, and we’ve lived with it for years. We just keep things simple, focus on the day’s tasks, and make sure the paperwork is in order before we head home for the evening.
