Skill Pro Foundation is based in Rourkela, specifically at Quarter No. A/220 in Sector-1. This is a quiet part of town, mostly residential quarters for workers and their families. Our office is literally just one of these quarters that we’ve converted into a workspace. It has a very homey feel, because it basically is a home. We have tables set up in what used to be the living room and files stored in the back. Working in Rourkela means we are used to a certain pace of life. It’s not like the big metros. We know our neighbors and sometimes they stop by just to say hello. Our team is small, and we don't have a formal dress code. Most days we are just wearing casual clothes and drinking tea while we go through our records. The address A/220 isn't hard to find once you are in Sector-1, but the houses all look a bit similar so you have to check the numbers carefully. We don't have a big corporate mission statement on the wall. Instead, we have a calendar and a whiteboard with scribbles on it. It’s a very basic setup, but it works for us. We just want to get our daily work done without any extra drama. If the power goes out, which happens sometimes, we just take a break until it comes back. That’s just how it is here in Rourkela, plain and simple for everyone involved.
