Our office is tucked away in the Shree Chala Co-Op Housing Society. It's on the Vapi Daman Road, right in the middle of Chala. Vapi is a really industrial place, so there’s always dust and noise from the trucks going toward Daman. We run Unifreight India Pvt. Ltd. from here. It’s a pretty basic setup inside the society. We have 23 as our door number, so it’s easy to find once you get inside the gate. Most of our day is spent dealing with freight and shipping documents. There is always a lot of paperwork to sort through when you are moving goods across the country. We have a few computers that hum all day and a stack of files that never seems to get smaller. The weather in Vapi gets incredibly hot in the summer, so we keep the fans going at full speed. We aren't a huge company with hundreds of employees. It is just a handful of us who know the business well. We talk to vendors, handle the logistics, and try to make sure nothing gets stuck at a warehouse somewhere. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our toes. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. That’s just how it goes in this part of Gujarat.
