Our agency is tucked away in Block 14, over in the Old Narmada Colony. If you know the Chhani Jakat Naka area in Vadodara, you know it's a bit of a maze sometimes with all the turns. We spend most of our mornings unloading crates and checking the freezers. It’s cold work, but somebody has to do it, especially when the Gujarat summer starts hitting hard and everybody is thirsty. The fans are always humming in the background, which becomes a sound you don't even notice after an hour or so. We have a few delivery bikes that go in and out all day long. The guys who ride them are always in a bit of a hurry because of the heat. Sometimes we sit on the steps during the lunch break and watch the kids playing nearby. It's a decent spot to be. We don’t really have a big fancy sign, just the usual name so people know it's us. The paperwork gets a bit messy on the desk sometimes, but we find what we need eventually. It’s not a high-pressure place, just a lot of moving parts to keep track of. We’ve had a few power cuts lately which makes things a bit stressful with the stock, but we manage. You get used to the routine of it all after a while. It’s just us here, working through the crates and making sure the orders are ready for whoever comes to pick them up.
