Uma Steel Corporation

Uma Steel Corporation is located at 896 in the Makarpura GIDC Industrial Estate. If you’ve ever spent time in GIDC, you know exactly what it’s like. It’s a massive area filled with warehouses and factories. Our plot, 896, is just one of many, but we’ve made it our own over the years. The air always has that industrial smell, a mix of metal and machinery, which I guess is just part of the job. It gets really hot in the summer months, especially with all the buildings being so close together. There isn’t much green around here, just lots of concrete and trucks moving in and out of the estate. We don't have a fancy office with plush chairs. It’s mostly just a place where we get the work done. The floors are concrete and the desks are old, but they serve their purpose. People often get lost trying to find specific numbers in Makarpura because the GIDC is so big, but once you find 896, you’re there. We usually have the radio playing in the background to drown out some of the noise from the neighbors. It’s a straightforward environment for straightforward work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the building; we just want to stay on top of our daily chores and go home.
