Suresh Masala Gruh

You can find us at Gala No. 2 in the Kapil Tirth Market. It’s a very busy place, especially on the weekends when everyone is out doing their grocery shopping for the week. We specialize in masalas, and the smell around our stall is quite strong and spicy. We’ve got all the basics like garam masala, coriander powder, and turmeric, all ground up and ready to go in bags. Suresh started this years ago because he knew people around here wanted fresh spices rather than the stuff that sits on a big grocery shelf for months. It’s a small space inside the gala, so we have to be very organized with how we stack the bags and jars to make room for customers. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to us for years. They know exactly what they want and don't need to see a menu. Sometimes we run out of something popular and have to tell people to come back tomorrow after we grind more. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out with the weighing and packing. We spend most of our time on the scale and chatting with the people who stop by to say hello. The market can be a bit chaotic with all the noise and people pushing past, but we like the energy. It’s an honest living and it keeps us busy from early morning until we close at night.
